Brisbane’s hospitality, retail and events scene has grown quickly, and so has the competition for attention.
Bars and restaurants in Fortitude Valley and South Brisbane, suburban shopping centres and outdoor events all need ways to stand out that feel more engaging than another social post. Branded games and AR activations give people something to do, talk about and come back for, and they generate useful customer data along the way when they are designed with a clear goal in mind.
Education and training are the other big drivers. Schools, RTOs and universities across South East Queensland are using games to make learning more interactive, from early literacy apps to workplace safety simulations for the construction and engineering sectors. These projects need careful instructional design, accessibility and reporting, not just bright graphics and a points system bolted on at the end, and they often have to work on shared school or workplace devices.
We work with Brisbane clients remotely from our Melbourne studio. Because Queensland does not observe daylight saving, we schedule calls around Brisbane time all year so meetings never land at awkward hours during summer. You review progress over video, install new builds through TestFlight or Google Play testing, and give feedback that goes directly into the next sprint. The result is a predictable rhythm, with no long silences between updates.
